ATTORNEY’S WORKSHOP WITH THE ASIAN AMERICAN WOMEN’S BUSINESS INITIATIVE

On June 10, 2008, CABA co-sponsored an attorneys workshop with the Asian American Women’s Business Initiative, a program that is part of the U.S. Department of Labor.  CABA attorneys Tony Ling, Marian Ming, Anne Shaw, and Philip Wong addressed a group of Asian women business owners on topics including employee compensation,  immigration, corporate matters, and real estate leases.

PAN-ASIAN BAR SOCIAL

CABA, together with the Asian American Bar Association, Filipino American Bar Association, Indian American Bar Association, Korean American Bar Association, and Pakistani American Bar Association is hosting a FREE social networking event on Thursday, May 22, 2008 beginning at 6 p.m. at Dao Restaurant, 230 E. Ohio, Chicago Illinois.  You will receive one drink ticket and a complimentary buffet dinner (vegetarian food included).

On March 13, 2008, Jennifer Sprangers ’09 became the recipient of the Chicago-Kent College of Law Asian American Law Student Scholarship, a scholarship that was funded by our own Elaine Sit and her family.
