Hsin-Hsin (Ivy) Lee - President

Ivy Lee is an associate at Hlustik, Huizenga, Williams & Vander Woude, Ltd. representing business owners in corporate transactions and operations. Her practice includes M&A, corporate governance, commercial contracts, real estate, and counseling U.S. businesses on cross-border transactions. From 2013 to 2016, she founded and operated Efficient Services Inc., a translation company specializing in Chinese-English legal translation for law firms and international corporations. Since 2013, she also regularly volunteers at the Chinatown Pro Bono Clinic where she provides free legal consultation related to landlord tenant, wills & trusts, divorce, and immigration. Ms. Lee is a graduate of Chicago Loyola School of Law and the University of Michigan.

Jonathan Yee - Vice President Operations

Jon Yee is an associate at Kaufman Dolowich & Voluck, LLP where he regularly represents domestic and London-based insurance carriers with respect to financial institution bonds, as well as commercial crime and broker-dealer professional liability policies. In addition, Mr. Yee has extensive litigation experience with respect to matters involving complex commercial and professional liability disputes. Mr. Yee attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he received a degree in urban and regional planning, and the University of Notre Dame Law School, where he graduated cum laude. While at Notre Dame, Mr. Yee served as the Treasurer of the Environmental Law Society and Assistant Rector of Stanford Hall. Prior to serving as CABA's Vice President of Operations, Mr. Yee served as its Treasurer. He also received CABA’s 2020 Rising Star Award.

Yankun Guo - Vice President Finance & Development

Yankun Guo is a partner with Goldstein & McClintock LLLP in Chicago. She advises on corporate and securities law, with application to emerging technologies, fund formation, venture financing, and corporate compliance. Additionally, she acts as outside general counsel to a number of small businesses and start-up companies. Prior to joining Goldstein & McClintock, Ms. Guo spent several years in private practice following company-side positions with Opportunity Financial, LLC and in the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Group’s Transactions, Commercial Relations Group and Corporate Compliance Team. Ms. Guo is also the Vice-Chair in the Financial and Emerging Technologies Committee of Chicago Bar Association.

Jing Zhao - Vice President Communications

Jing Zhao is an associate at Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr, LLP, where she assists public and private corporate clients with matters related to mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture financing, and general corporate governance. Ms. Zhao has also worked as a mergers and acquisitions tax associate at a big four accounting firm, where she provided tax advisory services to multinational corporations, partnerships and private equity firms in the areas of tax planning for acquisitions and divestitures, distressed company restructurings, and federal tax due diligence. She received her LLM in Taxation from Northwestern University and JD from University of Arkansas, both with honors.

Huy Nguyen- Treasurer

Huy Nguyen is an associate at Factor where he negotiates commercial contracts for a Fortune 500 pharmaceutical company, focusing on information technology, data protection, and healthcare compliance. He was previously an associate at a consumer bankruptcy law firm providing financial guidance to debtors to navigate their Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy filings. Huy is also a board member of the Asian American Bar Association of Greater Chicago and is an active volunteer at the monthly Chinatown Pro Bono Legal Clinic, providing free legal consultation to clients on various matters, including landlord-tenant, employment, family, and personal injury disputes. He received his BBAs in Marketing and International Business from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and his JD from Chicago-Kent College of Law.

Yan Zong - Secretary

Yan Zong is an associate at Merz & Associates P.C., a boutique IP litigation firm. Prior to joining this firm, she worked at The Evans International Law Firms LLC, representing clients in cases involving breach of contract, intellectual property, defamation, foreclosure and business transaction.  Ms. Zong obtained her law degree from the DePaul University College of Law. She is licensed to practice in Illinois and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and regularly volunteers at the Chinatown Pro Bono Clinic.
