On August 7, 2018, the Chinese American Bar Association of Greater Chicago (“CABA”) and the Chicago Committee of the Japanese American Bar Association (“JABA”) presented a legal malpractice panel focusing on legal malpractice pitfalls and ethical traps.
Topics covered included: attorney competence; statute of limitations; handling of client funds; client communication; duties to third parties; potential repercussions; and other common legal malpractice issues. Panelists included: John Dalton (Kaufman Dolowich & Voluck LLP); Elliot Schiff (Schiff Gorman); and Michael Zhang (ARDC).
